Description

Delicious cupcakes combining rich chocolate and creamy peanut butter, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons milk (for frosting consistency)
  • Reese’s candy for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
  2. Mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Add the egg, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  4. Stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth.
  5. Fill the cupcake liners about 2/3 full with the batter.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let them cool completely.
  7. Beat together the peanut butter and softened butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and mix well, adding milk as needed to achieve a creamy consistency.
  8. Frost the cooled cupcakes with the peanut butter frosting and top each with a piece of Reese’s candy.

Notes

Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature. For extra flavor, add a pinch of espresso powder.
