Description

A simple and rewarding recipe for smoked chicken, infusing rich flavors and making it tender and juicy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 whole chicken
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • Wood chips for smoking

Instructions

  1. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  2. Rinse the chicken and pat it dry.
  3. Rub the entire chicken with olive oil, then season it with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Let the chicken sit for about 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  5. Place the wood chips in the smoker.
  6. Put the chicken in the smoker and smoke for about 240-300 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Use high-quality wood chips for the best flavor. Brining the chicken can add moisture.
