- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- Wood chips for smoking
Instructions
- Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
- Rinse the chicken and pat it dry.
- Rub the entire chicken with olive oil, then season it with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Let the chicken sit for about 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Place the wood chips in the smoker.
- Put the chicken in the smoker and smoke for about 240-300 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Use high-quality wood chips for the best flavor. Brining the chicken can add moisture.
