Description

A delightful cinnamon-flavored quick bread perfect for breakfast or as a snack.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  3. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy in another bowl.
  4. Beat in the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Mix together the cinnamon and brown sugar in a small bowl.
  7. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over it, then layer the remaining batter on top and swirl in the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let it cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

Best served warm, can be sliced for sharing. Pairs well with coffee or tea.
