Description

A delightful dessert that combines crunchy pretzel crust, creamy filling, and refreshing strawberry topping, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups pretzels, crushed
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping
  • 2 packages (3 oz each) strawberry gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 1/4 cup sugar in a medium bowl. Press the mixture into the bottom of an 8×8-inch pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then let cool.
  3. Mix softened cream cheese and powdered sugar in a large bowl until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Spread the mixture over the cooled pretzel crust.
  4. Dissolve the strawberry gelatin in boiling water in another bowl. Stir in sliced strawberries. Let it cool slightly, then pour over the cream cheese layer.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

For a sweeter crust, consider adding more sugar to the pretzel mixture. Ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature for smoother mixing.
