- 120 g (½ cup) active sourdough starter
- 3 medium ripe bananas, mashed
- 250 g (2 cups) all-purpose flour
- 100 g (½ cup) granulated sugar
- 150 g (1 cup) chocolate chips
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease your 9-inch loaf pan.
- Combine the sourdough starter, mashed bananas, and eggs in a large mixing bowl; whisk until smooth.
- Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a rubber spatula until just combined.
- Add the chocolate chips and gently fold them into the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
