Description
A rich and creamy pasta dish with tender steak that brings restaurant-quality flavor to your kitchen, perfect for date nights or family dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 300 g (10 oz) sirloin steak
- 250 g (9 oz) fettuccine pasta
- 240 ml (1 cup) heavy cream
- 50 g (½ cup) grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the Steak: Season the sirloin steak generously with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes on each side until it reaches an internal temperature of 50°C (130°F) for medium-rare. Remove from skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Make the Cream Sauce: In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium, and add the minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine, and let it come to a gentle simmer.
- Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the drained pasta into the skillet with the cream sauce. Toss gently to coat. Grate in the Parmesan cheese and mix until melted and creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of pasta water.
- Serve with Steak: Slice the rested steak against the grain into thin strips. Serve the creamy pasta topped with steak slices and garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
To customize, consider adding sautéed mushrooms or vegetables. Ensure to balance sauce consistency with reserved pasta water if necessary.
