Description

Ingredients

  • 23 lbs of crab (blue crabs or other varieties)
  • 1 lb of small potatoes (such as new potatoes or fingerlings)
  • 1 lb of sweet corn (cut into halves or thirds)
  • 12 links of Andouille sausage (optional)
  • 12 tablespoons of Old Bay seasoning (or to taste)
  • 46 cups of water
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)
  • Melted butter (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Fill a large pot with water and add salt and Old Bay seasoning.
  2. Bring the water to a boil.
  3. Add the potatoes and cook for about 10-15 minutes, or until they are tender.
  4. If using sausage, add it now and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Add the corn and crab to the pot.
  6. Cook for another 5-7 minutes, until the crab is heated through.
  7. Drain the mixture and serve immediately with lemon wedges and melted butter.
