Description

Delicious mini banana loaves packed with chocolate chips, perfect for breakfast or snacks.


Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 ripe bananas (about 450 g)
  • 250 g (2 cups) all-purpose flour
  • 150 g (¾ cup) sugar
  • 100 g (½ cup) brown sugar
  • 113 g (½ cup) butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 5 g (1 tsp) baking soda
  • 5 g (1 tsp) baking powder
  • 1 g (¼ tsp) salt
  • 150 g (1 cup) chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease your mini loaf pans.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a large bowl until smooth with some small lumps.
  3. Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time and then fold in the mashed bananas gently.
  5. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  6. Mix the dry ingredients into the banana mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Fill the mini loaf pans about ¾ full with batter and bake for 20–25 minutes.
  8. Cool the loaves in the pans for 5–10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze for longer storage. Avoid overmixing for tender loaves.
