Description
Delicious and juicy hamburgers made with quality ground beef and simple seasoning, perfect for backyard grilling.
Ingredients
Scale
- 500 g (1 lb) ground beef (80% lean)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Burger buns
- Optional toppings: Lettuce, tomato, pickles, cheese, or any condiments
Instructions
- Mix the meat: In a large bowl, combine ground beef with salt and black pepper. Use clean hands to gently mix until just combined.
- Form the patties: Divide the beef mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Preheat the grill or skillet: Heat to high heat or medium-high heat with a small amount of oil.
- Cook the patties: Place on the grill or skillet, cook for 3–4 minutes, then flip and cook for another 3–4 minutes.
- Toast the buns: During the last minute of cooking, place buns cut-side down on the grill to toast.
- Assemble the burgers: Remove patties from heat, let rest for 2 minutes, then place on buns and top with desired toppings.
Notes
Avoid overworking the meat and handle the beef as little as possible while forming patties to keep them tender. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness.
