Description

A colorful and nutritious broccoli salad packed with vitamins, perfect as a side dish or main course.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup chopped red onion
  • 1 cup raisins or dried cranberries
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the fresh broccoli, shredded carrots, chopped red onion, raisins, and nuts.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the dressing over the broccoli mixture and toss until everything is well coated.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld.

Notes

For added flavor, let the salad sit in the fridge for longer. You can also replace walnuts with almonds or pecans.
