Description

Sink your teeth into these perfectly moist banana chocolate chip bars. Bursting with ripe bananas and gooey chocolate, they are the perfect sweet treat.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas (about 450 g)
  • 250 g (2 cups) all-purpose flour
  • 150 g (3/4 cup) brown sugar
  • 100 g (1/2 cup) granulated sugar
  • 113 g (1/2 cup) butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 5 g (1 teaspoon) baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 150 g (1 cup) chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease the baking pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Mash 3 ripe bananas until smooth in a large bowl. Stir in melted butter until combined.
  3. Add brown sugar and granulated sugar to the mashed bananas. Stir to combine, then add the eggs and mix until well blended.
  4. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl until no lumps remain.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, folding in chocolate chips gently until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice into squares and serve.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days. These bars freeze well for up to 3 months.
