- 3 ripe bananas (about 450 g)
- 250 g (2 cups) all-purpose flour
- 150 g (3/4 cup) brown sugar
- 100 g (1/2 cup) granulated sugar
- 113 g (1/2 cup) butter
- 2 large eggs
- 5 g (1 teaspoon) baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 150 g (1 cup) chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease the baking pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.
- Mash 3 ripe bananas until smooth in a large bowl. Stir in melted butter until combined.
- Add brown sugar and granulated sugar to the mashed bananas. Stir to combine, then add the eggs and mix until well blended.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl until no lumps remain.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, folding in chocolate chips gently until evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice into squares and serve.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days. These bars freeze well for up to 3 months.
