Description

A delicious side dish featuring crisp asparagus topped with rich Asiago cheese, perfect for weeknight dinners or gatherings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 500 g (1 lb) fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 100 g (1 cup) grated Asiago cheese
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Zest of 1 lemon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Place the asparagus on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Toss to coat.
  3. Roast in the oven for 10–12 minutes until vibrant green and slightly tender.
  4. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with grated Asiago cheese. Return to oven for 3–5 minutes until cheese is melted and golden brown.
  5. Zest the lemon over the dish and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding minced garlic to the olive oil before tossing with asparagus.
