Description

White Trash Casserole with Doritos is a quick and easy dish packed with flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (or ground beef)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (optional)
  • 1 bag (9.75 oz) Doritos, crushed (any flavor)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional garnish: chopped green onions or parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken (or ground beef), cream of chicken soup, sour cream, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until thoroughly combined.
  3. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and frozen mixed vegetables (if using) until evenly distributed.
  4. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch casserole dish to prevent sticking.
  5. Pour the chicken mixture into the prepared casserole dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Crush the Doritos and sprinkle them generously on top of the casserole mixture.
  7. Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Once finished, remove from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
  9. If desired, sprinkle with chopped green onions or parsley for a pop of color.
