- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (or ground beef)
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (optional)
- 1 bag (9.75 oz) Doritos, crushed (any flavor)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional garnish: chopped green onions or parsley
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken (or ground beef), cream of chicken soup, sour cream, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until thoroughly combined.
- Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and frozen mixed vegetables (if using) until evenly distributed.
- Lightly grease a 9×13 inch casserole dish to prevent sticking.
- Pour the chicken mixture into the prepared casserole dish, spreading it evenly.
- Crush the Doritos and sprinkle them generously on top of the casserole mixture.
- Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
- Once finished, remove from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
- If desired, sprinkle with chopped green onions or parsley for a pop of color.
