- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 ounces prosciutto, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon hot honey (or to taste)
- Fresh arugula (for garnish, optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Start by preheating your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat.
- Prepare the dough: On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness. For a thin crust, aim for about 1/4 inch thick.
- Transfer to a baking sheet or pizza peel: If you’re using a pizza stone, transfer the rolled dough to a pizza peel dusted with flour. If using a baking sheet, lightly grease it with olive oil.
- Spread the ricotta: Spoon the ricotta cheese evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Add mozzarella: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the ricotta layer.
- Season the pizza: Drizzle olive oil over the top, then sprinkle with garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Bake the pizza: Carefully slide the pizza into the preheated oven (or onto the pizza stone). Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
- Add prosciutto: Once the pizza is done baking, remove it from the oven and immediately layer the prosciutto over the hot cheese.
- Drizzle with hot honey: Generously drizzle hot honey over the prosciutto. Adjust the amount based on your spice preference.
- Garnish: Optionally, top with fresh arugula for a burst of color and freshness.
- Slice and serve: Allow the pizza to cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve while hot.
