Description

White Pizza with Prosciutto & Hot Honey is a quick and delicious dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 ounces prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon hot honey (or to taste)
  • Fresh arugula (for garnish, optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat.
  2. Prepare the dough: On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness. For a thin crust, aim for about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Transfer to a baking sheet or pizza peel: If you’re using a pizza stone, transfer the rolled dough to a pizza peel dusted with flour. If using a baking sheet, lightly grease it with olive oil.
  4. Spread the ricotta: Spoon the ricotta cheese evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  5. Add mozzarella: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the ricotta layer.
  6. Season the pizza: Drizzle olive oil over the top, then sprinkle with garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
  7. Bake the pizza: Carefully slide the pizza into the preheated oven (or onto the pizza stone). Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
  8. Add prosciutto: Once the pizza is done baking, remove it from the oven and immediately layer the prosciutto over the hot cheese.
  9. Drizzle with hot honey: Generously drizzle hot honey over the prosciutto. Adjust the amount based on your spice preference.
  10. Garnish: Optionally, top with fresh arugula for a burst of color and freshness.
  11. Slice and serve: Allow the pizza to cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve while hot.

Notes

  • Adjust hot honey based on your spice preference.
