Description

A moist and tender banana bread featuring a whimsical pink marble swirl and a crunchy heart sprinkle topping. Perfect for a festive Valentine’s Day breakfast.


Ingredients

  • 3 large Overripe bananas (Mashed)
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter (Melted)
  • 3/4 cup Granulated sugar (White)
  • 1 large Egg (Room temperature)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract (Pure)
  • 1 1/2 cups All-purpose flour (Sifted)
  • 1 tsp Baking soda (Fresh)
  • 1/4 tsp Salt (Fine)
  • 2 tbsp Strawberry puree (For color)
  • 1/4 cup Heart sprinkles (Pink and white)

Instructions

  1. Mash the bananas in a bowl and stir in the melted butter until the mixture is uniform.
  2. Whisk in the sugar, egg, and vanilla until the batter becomes smooth and slightly pale.
  3. Sift in the flour, baking soda, and salt, then stir gently until just combined.
  4. Remove one cup of batter and stir in the strawberry puree and pink gel coloring.
  5. Layer the plain and pink batters into a greased pan and swirl with a skewer.
  6. Press heart sprinkles across the top of the batter before placing the pan in the oven.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 55 minutes until a skewer comes out clean from the center.
  8. Cool the loaf completely on a wire rack before slicing to ensure the marble stays distinct.
