Description

These Smoked Brisket & Cheese Pretzel Bombs are a delicious snack that combines tender brisket and melted cheese wrapped in a soft pretzel dough. They are perfect for gatherings and offer an irresistible flavor combination.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup cooked smoked brisket, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  3. Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for about 30 minutes, or until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces.
  6. Flatten each piece into a disc. Place a tablespoon of brisket and a tablespoon of cheese in the center of each disc.
  7. Fold the edges over the filling, pinch to seal, and roll into a ball.
  8. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a large pot. Add baking soda.
  9. Carefully place pretzel bombs into boiling water for 30 seconds per side using a slotted spoon.
  10. Transfer bombs to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  11. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  12. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up.

Notes

  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
