- 2 cups French onion soup (canned or homemade)
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cups shredded cheese (Swiss or mozzarella)

- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef, season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced onions. Cook until they are caramelized and golden brown, about 10-12 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked rice, browned beef, caramelized onions, and French onion soup. Mix well to combine all ingredients evenly.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese generously on top of the casserole.
