Description

Perfect Sautéed Asparagus: Crisp, Bright & Ready in Minutes

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter (or use more oil for dairy-free)
  • 23 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: lemon wedges or zest for serving

Instructions

  1. Snap or cut off woody ends of asparagus. Rinse and pat dry.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, warm olive oil and butter until melted and shimmering.
  3. Add asparagus in a single layer. Cook 5–7 minutes, tossing occasionally, until tender-crisp and lightly browned.
  4. Stir in minced garlic during the last 1–2 minutes. Cook until fragrant (don’t let it burn).
  5. Season with salt and pepper. Finish with optional lemon juice or zest and serve hot.
