- 1 pound mushrooms (Use button, cremini, or your favorite type for diverse flavors.)
- 1 tablespoon oil (Olive oil or avocado oil.)
- Salt (Adjust to taste.)
- Pepper (Adjust to taste.)
- 1/4 cup butter (Browning enhances its nutty flavor.)
- 2 cloves garlic (Chopped for aroma.)
- 1 teaspoon thyme (Fresh thyme preferred.)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (Adds brightness.)
Instructions
- Toss the mushrooms in a bowl with oil, salt, and pepper until coated.
- Spread mushrooms on a baking sheet and roast at 400°F for about 20 minutes, stirring halfway.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat until browned, about 3-5 minutes.
- Remove from heat, then stir in garlic, thyme, and lemon juice.
- Toss roasted mushrooms in the browned butter sauce, season with salt and pepper.
