Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 13 x 9 inch baking pan with foil or parchment paper, ensuring some overhang for easy removal later, and set aside.
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt 1 cup of butter. Add 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips and stir frequently to melt completely. Remove from heat. Stir in 2 cups sugar and 2 tsp vanilla extract until combined. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until the batter is smooth and glossy. Gently fold in 2/3 cup all-purpose flour, 1/3 cup cocoa powder, and 1/2 tsp salt until just combined, taking care not to overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted about one inch from the side comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs. Remove from oven and allow brownies to cool completely in the pan.
- In a bowl, beat together 4 tbsp softened butter, 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter, 1 cup powdered sugar, and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Add 2 tbsp milk gradually to reach a smooth, spreadable consistency.
- Once brownies are completely cool, spread the peanut butter frosting evenly over the top.
- In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 tsp butter. Microwave at 50% power in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth and fully melted.
- Transfer melted chocolate to a piping bag or a Ziploc bag with a small corner snipped off. Drizzle the chocolate over the peanut butter frosting. Immediately sprinkle 1 1/2 cups chopped Reese’s candies over the chocolate drizzle. Allow to cool and set completely before slicing and serving.
