Description

Mississippi Mud Chicken is a flavorful and creamy chicken dish baked to perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Arrange the seasoned chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
  4. In a bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, ranch dressing, barbecue sauce, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined.
  5. Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the chicken breasts.
  6. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil, sprinkle the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese on top, and return to the oven uncovered. Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
  9. Serve warm with your choice of sides, such as rice, mashed potatoes, or steamed vegetables.
