Description
Maple Glazed Chicken Thighs: An Incredible Ultimate Recipe
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Fresh thyme or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, black pepper, and salt until well combined.
- Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken thighs in a large resealable bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it is well-coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes (or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for deeper flavor).
- Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated chicken thighs skin-side down. Sear for 5-7 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden brown.
- Add Remaining Marinade: Carefully flip the chicken thighs over and pour the remaining marinade into the skillet.
- Bake in the Oven: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- During the last 10 minutes of cooking, baste the chicken with the sauce to enhance the glaze.
- Once cooked, remove the skillet from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- If desired, sprinkle fresh thyme or parsley on top for a pop of color and flavor.
