A delicious low-carb twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak, this casserole is easy to prepare and packed with flavor.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup cream cheese
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 8 oz provolone cheese, torn
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a 9×13 baking dish with non-stick spray.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and bell pepper, cooking for 5-6 minutes until softened.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned, about 7-8 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, then add the cream cheese, mixing until well combined and creamy.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly. Layer with torn provolone and shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake for 22-25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden. Let it sit for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Feel free to add additional vegetables like mushrooms or spinach for more nutrients. This dish can also be prepared a day in advance and baked just before serving.
