Ingredients

  • 2 cups broccoli, chopped
  • 2 cups cauliflower, chopped
  • 1 pound sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by chopping broccoli and cauliflower into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Boil water in a large saucepan, add broccoli and cauliflower, and cook for 3-5 minutes until tender but firm.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded cheese and cream, whisking until smooth. Add garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste.
  4. Mix the cooked sausage with the sautéed vegetables and cheese sauce.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 5-10 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute sausage with grilled chicken. Add spinach or kale for extra nutrients.
