- 2 cups broccoli, chopped
- 2 cups cauliflower, chopped
- 1 pound sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients by chopping broccoli and cauliflower into bite-sized pieces.
- Boil water in a large saucepan, add broccoli and cauliflower, and cook for 3-5 minutes until tender but firm.
- In a mixing bowl, combine shredded cheese and cream, whisking until smooth. Add garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Mix the cooked sausage with the sautéed vegetables and cheese sauce.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 5-10 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
For a lighter option, substitute sausage with grilled chicken. Add spinach or kale for extra nutrients.
