Description
Delicious pepperoni pizza pockets that are quick to make and perfect for satisfying your cravings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 9-inch pie crust (Homemade or store-bought)
- 1 1/4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup pepperoni slices
- 1 cup marinara sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out your pie crust into a 12-inch circle. Cut out 6 shapes with a 4-inch cookie cutter and transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella evenly over the 6 crust shapes. Layer on the pepperoni slices, leaving a small border around the edges for sealing.
- In a small bowl, beat the egg and brush it along the edges of each dough shape.
- Gather the dough scraps, roll it out again, and cut out 6 more shapes. Place these on top of the pepperoni layers and crimp the edges together with a fork.
- Cut a few slits in the top for steam to escape, or create a jack-o-lantern face if desired.
- Brush the tops of the assembled pizza pockets with more egg wash. Bake immediately or store in the fridge.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and cheese is oozing. Serve immediately with warm marinara sauce for dipping.
