- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for icing, optional)
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (for icing, optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for icing, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Open the can of crescent roll dough and unroll it on a lightly floured surface. Pinch the seams together to create a solid sheet of dough.
- In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside.
- Brush the melted butter evenly over the crescent roll dough.
- Evenly sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the buttered dough.
- Starting from one end, carefully roll the dough tightly into a log.
- Cut the rolled dough into 8 equal pieces. Place each piece cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for about 10 minutes on the baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle over the warm roll ups.
