Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for icing, optional)
  • 12 tablespoons milk (for icing, optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for icing, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Open the can of crescent roll dough and unroll it on a lightly floured surface. Pinch the seams together to create a solid sheet of dough.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside.
  4. Brush the melted butter evenly over the crescent roll dough.
  5. Evenly sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the buttered dough.
  6. Starting from one end, carefully roll the dough tightly into a log.
  7. Cut the rolled dough into 8 equal pieces. Place each piece cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.
