- 3–4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 1 pound)
- 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded whole milk mozzarella cheese
- 8 ounces spaghetti or penne pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and spray a large baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then coat them evenly in the breadcrumbs.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the breaded chicken until golden brown on both sides (5-7 minutes per side).
- Transfer the cooked chicken to the baking dish, pour marinara sauce over it, and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for about 20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain well.
- Serve pasta topped with the baked chicken parmesan and garnish with fresh basil.
