- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)
- Chopped green onions (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, black pepper, paprika, salt, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
- Place the wings in a large bowl or zip-top bag. Pour the marinade over the wings, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to overnight in the fridge).
- Place the marinated wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through, until wings are crispy and cooked through.
- During the last 5 minutes of baking, brush additional honey on the wings for a sticky finish.
- Once cooked, remove the wings from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Optionally, sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions on top for added flavor and presentation.
