Refreshing & Healthy Boba Tea Recipe with Strawberry Matcha
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries (or frozen, thawed)
- 1–2 tsp maple syrup or agave (to taste)
- 1/2 cup cooked tapioca pearls (boba)
- 1/2 cup canned coconut cream or thick coconut milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp matcha powder (ceremonial or culinary grade)
- 1/4 cup hot water (about 175°F / 80°C)
- 1 cup ice
Instructions
- Boil tapioca pearls according to package instructions (5–7 minutes). Rinse with cold water and lightly sweeten if desired.
- Blend strawberries with maple syrup until smooth. Set aside.
- Mix coconut cream with vanilla extract until smooth.
- Sift matcha into a bowl, add hot water, and whisk until frothy.
- Add boba to a glass, layer strawberry puree, ice, coconut cream, then top with matcha.
- Insert a wide straw, stir if desired, and enjoy immediately.
