Description

Gordon Ramsay Bread Pudding: An Amazing Ultimate Recipe

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups day-old bread (brioche or French bread works best)
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup mixed dried fruits (raisins, currants, or cranberries)
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • Pinch of salt
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Tear the day-old bread into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large bowl.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the whole milk, eggs, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.
  4. Pour the milk mixture over the torn bread, allowing it to soak for about 10 minutes. Stir gently to ensure all the bread is coated.
  5. Fold in the mixed dried fruits and melted butter until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the bread mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  7. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 10-15 minutes before serving.
  9. If desired, dust the top with powdered sugar just before serving for an elegant touch.
