Gordon Ramsay Bread Pudding: An Amazing Ultimate Recipe
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 cups day-old bread (brioche or French bread works best)
- 4 cups whole milk
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 cup mixed dried fruits (raisins, currants, or cranberries)
- ¼ cup butter, melted
- Pinch of salt
- Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Tear the day-old bread into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large bowl.
- In another bowl, whisk together the whole milk, eggs, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.
- Pour the milk mixture over the torn bread, allowing it to soak for about 10 minutes. Stir gently to ensure all the bread is coated.
- Fold in the mixed dried fruits and melted butter until evenly distributed.
- Pour the bread mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 10-15 minutes before serving.
- If desired, dust the top with powdered sugar just before serving for an elegant touch.
