- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 (20 oz) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
- 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (plus more to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup reserved pasta water
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook tortellini according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
- Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak cubes in a single layer. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
- Sear steak 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to desired doneness. Remove steak from skillet and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil, then add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add cooked tortellini, reserved pasta water, heavy cream, and Parmesan. Stir well and simmer 3–5 minutes until sauce thickens.
- Return steak to skillet and toss to coat. Heat through 1–2 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
