- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup sliced pepperoni
- 1 tsp dried Italian herbs (oregano and basil mix)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Optional: pizza sauce for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet to smooth it out.
- Evenly sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the pastry, leaving about a ½-inch border around the edges.
- Arrange the sliced pepperoni evenly over the cheese, then sprinkle the dried Italian herb mix.
- Carefully roll the pastry tightly into a log shape, starting from one edge. Cut the log into 1-inch thick slices.
- Place the slices cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 18 minutes, or until golden brown and flaky.
- Let the pizza rolls cool slightly and serve warm, with optional pizza sauce for dipping.
