Description
Easy Eggnog Apple Bread Pudding: An Amazing Ultimate Recipe
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 cups day-old bread, cubed
- 2 cups eggnog
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup diced apples (about 2 medium apples)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup raisins or dried cranberries (optional)
- 1 tablespoon butter, for greasing the baking dish
Instructions
- Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter.
- In a large bowl, combine the cubed bread with the diced apples. Set aside to allow flavors to meld.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggnog, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.
- Pour the egg mixture over the bread and apple mixture. Gently fold to ensure all the bread is coated.
- If using, fold in the raisins or dried cranberries for extra flavor and texture.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the pudding is set and golden brown on top.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
