Description

Date Snickers: An Incredible Ultimate Recipe with 7 Amazing Ingredients

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Medjool dates, pitted
  • 1 cup mixed nuts (such as almonds, peanuts, or cashews)
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter or almond butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips (dairy-free if desired)
  • Sea salt, for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, blend the pitted Medjool dates until they form a sticky paste.
  2. Mix in the peanut butter (or almond butter), maple syrup (or honey), and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Fold in the mixed nuts, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the date mixture.
  4. Line a small baking dish with parchment paper. Press the date and nut mixture into the dish, creating an even layer about 1/2 inch thick.
  5. Place the dish in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to firm up the mixture.
  6. While the base is chilling, melt the dark chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  7. Remove the chilled date mixture from the refrigerator. Cut it into bars or squares and dip each piece into the melted chocolate, ensuring they are well-coated.
  8. Once coated, place the chocolate-covered bars on a parchment-lined tray. Sprinkle a small pinch of sea salt on top of each piece.
  9. Return the tray to the refrigerator for an additional 15-20 minutes to allow the chocolate to set.
  10. Once the chocolate is firm, your Date Snickers are ready to be enjoyed!
