Description

A quick and healthy take on traditional taco pie, this crustless version is packed with flavor and perfect for those on a low-carb diet.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 diced onion
  • 1 diced bell pepper
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, avocado, olives

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9-inch pie pan.
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked, then drain excess grease.
  3. Stir in the taco seasoning with a splash of water.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salsa, 1 cup of cheese, garlic salt, and pepper.
  5. Place the taco beef in the greased pie pan, pour the egg mixture over it, and top with remaining cheese.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
  7. Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving with your favorite toppings.

Notes
