- 500 g (1 lb) Ground Beef
- 1 medium Onion, chopped
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 medium Bell Pepper, chopped
- 800 g (28 oz) Canned Diced Tomatoes
- 400 g (14 oz) Canned Kidney Beans, drained
- 2 tablespoons Chili Powder
- 1 tablespoon Cumin
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
- Optional Toppings: Sour cream, shredded cheese, fresh cilantro
Instructions
- Begin by finely chopping the onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for 5-7 minutes.
- In the slow cooker, add the browned beef, chopped onions, garlic, and bell peppers. Pour in diced tomatoes and drained beans.
- Sprinkle in chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Cover and set the slow cooker on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Once cooking is complete, adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot with toppings.
