Description

A hearty Crockpot Comfort Chili, perfect for busy nights, filled with tender meat, spicy beans, and rich tomatoes.


Ingredients

  • 500 g (1 lb) Ground Beef
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 medium Bell Pepper, chopped
  • 800 g (28 oz) Canned Diced Tomatoes
  • 400 g (14 oz) Canned Kidney Beans, drained
  • 2 tablespoons Chili Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Cumin
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Optional Toppings: Sour cream, shredded cheese, fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. Begin by finely chopping the onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for 5-7 minutes.
  3. In the slow cooker, add the browned beef, chopped onions, garlic, and bell peppers. Pour in diced tomatoes and drained beans.
  4. Sprinkle in chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  5. Cover and set the slow cooker on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  6. Once cooking is complete, adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot with toppings.
