Description

Crispy Chili Chicken with Sweet Honey Sauce is an incredible ultimate recipe.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • Oil, for frying
  • ½ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili paste (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the chicken pieces with buttermilk. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, mix flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and chili powder.
  3. Remove marinated chicken from buttermilk and coat each piece with the flour mixture. Shake off excess flour.
  4. In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Ensure the oil is hot enough for frying.
  5. Carefully place coated chicken pieces in the hot oil. Fry in batches to avoid overcrowding, for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oil and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.
  7. In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, and chili paste. Heat over low heat until well combined and slightly thickened.
  8. In a large bowl, toss the crispy chicken with the honey sauce until fully coated.
  9. Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions over the chicken for added flavor and presentation.
