Description
This creamy chicken and pea pasta is a quick, hearty family dinner made with tender chicken, sweet peas, and pasta tossed in a rich Parmesan cream sauce.
Ingredients

- 1 lb pasta (penne, fusilli, or shells)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs, diced
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Optional: lemon zest, red pepper flakes, or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper and cook until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add garlic to the skillet and cook about 1 minute. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth and stir to combine.
- Add frozen peas and cooked chicken. Simmer 2–3 minutes. Stir in Parmesan until melted and smooth.
- Add cooked pasta and toss to coat. Use reserved pasta water to loosen sauce if needed. Garnish and serve.
