Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup dried cranberries, chopped
  • ½ cup pecans, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Additional pecans for coating
  • Crackers or sliced bread for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese. Use a hand mixer or spatula to blend until smooth.
  2. Stir in the chopped cranberries, chopped pecans, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  3. Using your hands, shape the cheese mixture into a ball. Make sure it is compact and well-formed.
  4. Wrap the cheese ball in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up.
  5. Once chilled, remove the cheese ball from the refrigerator. Roll it in additional chopped pecans to coat the outside evenly.
  6. Transfer the coated cheese ball to a serving platter. Add crackers or sliced bread around it for a complete appetizer spread.
