Description
Condensed Milk Bread Pudding is a delicious and easy dessert made with simple ingredients.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 cups day-old bread, cubed (white or brioche)
- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups whole milk
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup raisins or chocolate chips (optional)
- Butter, for greasing the baking dish
Instructions
- Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter.
- Place the cubed bread into a large mixing bowl. If desired, add raisins or chocolate chips for extra flavor.
- In another bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, whole milk, eggs, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
- Pour the egg mixture over the cubed bread. Gently press the bread down to ensure it’s fully soaked in the mixture.
- Allow the mixture to sit for about 10 minutes to let the bread absorb the liquid.
- Pour the soaked bread mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 40-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, remove the pudding from the oven and let it cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For added texture, you can substitute some of the bread with croissants.
- This pudding can be served warm or chilled.
- Drizzle with caramel sauce for extra sweetness.
