Description

Condensed Milk Bread Pudding is a delicious and easy dessert made with simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups day-old bread, cubed (white or brioche)
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup raisins or chocolate chips (optional)
  • Butter, for greasing the baking dish

Instructions

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter.
  2. Place the cubed bread into a large mixing bowl. If desired, add raisins or chocolate chips for extra flavor.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, whole milk, eggs, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the cubed bread. Gently press the bread down to ensure it’s fully soaked in the mixture.
  5. Allow the mixture to sit for about 10 minutes to let the bread absorb the liquid.
  6. Pour the soaked bread mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  7. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 40-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Once baked, remove the pudding from the oven and let it cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For added texture, you can substitute some of the bread with croissants.
  • This pudding can be served warm or chilled.
  • Drizzle with caramel sauce for extra sweetness.
