Description

Cinnamon Apple Pudding Bake is a delightful dessert perfect for fall.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium apples (preferably Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Optional: Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with ½ cup of sugar, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, and ½ teaspoon of nutmeg. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In a separate mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, remaining ½ cup sugar, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until well blended.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish. Spread the apple mixture evenly on top of the batter.
  7. Place the dish in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for about 10-15 minutes before serving.
