Description

A festive delight featuring a rich red velvet cheesecake layered on a crunchy Oreo crust, topped with whipped cream and sprinkles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups Oreo cookie crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup white sugar (plus 2 tablespoons)
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup red food coloring
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • ¼ cup Christmas sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Wrap a 9-inch springform pan in aluminum foil.
  2. Crush Oreo cookies and mix with melted butter and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Press into the bottom of the pan and bake for 8-10 minutes; cool.
  3. In a bowl, blend cream cheese and ½ cup sugar until smooth. Mix in vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and red food coloring. Fold in whipped cream and sprinkles.
  4. Pour the filling over the cooled crust and reduce oven to 325°F (160°C). Place the springform pan in a water bath. Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  5. Cool cheesecake in the oven for 1 hour, then chill in the fridge for at least 6-8 hours.
  6. Top with whipped cream and additional sprinkles before serving.

Notes

For a twist, add chocolate or fruit layers. Use a sharp knife dipped in hot water for clean slices.
