Description
Simple Caramel Apple Pie Bombs: An Incredible 7-Ingredient Recipe
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package of refrigerated pie crusts (2 crusts)
- 2 cups diced apples (peeled and cored)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce (plus more for drizzling)
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- Flour (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine diced apples, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon. Mix well to coat the apples evenly.
- On a floured surface, roll out the refrigerated pie crusts. Use a round cutter or a glass to cut out circles, approximately 4-5 inches in diameter.
- Place a tablespoon of the apple mixture in the center of each pie crust circle. Drizzle a small amount of caramel sauce on top of the apples.
- Carefully fold the edges of the pie crust over the filling to create a pocket. Pinch the edges together to seal, ensuring there are no openings.
- Place the filled bombs on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Drizzle additional caramel sauce over the top before serving.
Notes
- Let the bombs cool slightly before serving.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
