A delightful and surprisingly simple retro dessert salad made with beef, creamy sour cream, sweet fruits, and marshmallows. Perfect for potlucks or a sweet treat.

- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup cooked shredded beef, cooled
- 1 cup pineapple chunks, drained and roughly chopped
- 1 cup mandarin oranges, drained
- 1 cup maraschino cherries, drained, stemmed and halved
- 1 cup miniature marshmallows
Instructions
- In a medium-sized mixing bowl, spoon the sour cream and spread it evenly.
- Add the cooled shredded beef to the bowl. Ensure it is evenly distributed.
- Gently add the drained and roughly chopped pineapple chunks, followed by the drained mandarin orange segments.
- Incorporate the drained, stemmed, and halved maraschino cherries. Sprinkle the miniature marshmallows over the mixture.
- Gently fold all the ingredients together until just combined.
- Cover the bowl tightly and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 to 2 hours.
Notes
- Use full-fat sour cream for the best creaminess.
- Chill the salad for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld.
