Description

No-Bake Salted Caramel Pretzel Bars are the perfect mix of sweet, salty, crunchy, and creamy layers.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ½ cups crushed pretzels
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt (plus more for sprinkling)
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon coconut oil or vegetable oil for smoother chocolate
  • Optional: Flaky sea salt for garnish

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy lifting.
  2. Place pretzels in a zip-top bag and crush with a rolling pin until coarse crumbs form. Set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar and sweetened condensed milk. Cook for 6–8 minutes, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbling. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and ½ teaspoon salt.
  4. Press half the pretzels into the pan. Pour caramel evenly over them, then top with the remaining pretzels. Press gently.
  5. Melt chocolate chips (with optional oil) in 30-second microwave intervals, stirring until smooth. Pour over caramel layer and spread evenly.
  6. Sprinkle with flaky salt and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Lift from pan, slice into bars, and enjoy!
